Does the movie end with the A's in the World Series?

Any movie that includes a tense, action-packed scene where an A's player slides safely into home plate to win a playoff game immediately loses all credibility.

Sorry. Only Joe Morgan is good enough to portray Joe Morgan.

Eh, Cole Hamels could strike out Joe Morgan.

With three change-ups and two arms tied behind his back.

Perfect role for Pitt ... if it was Billy Bean, the gay ex-player.

  10. "I can't believe that they are making a movie out of Billy Beane's book. I wonder if Beane also wrote the screenplay? This won't make him very popular with the other general managers."

Brilliance like this almost makes it possible to stomach the thought of you winning the baseball championship.

    Almost.

Honestly, I don't know if I've heard of a worse idea for a sports movie. Billy Beane wouldn't even think this movie is a good investment.
