Notre Dame tips a caterer $29,000, wants money back

    All that NBC money was eating a hole in Notre Dame's pocket, I guess.

    That's pretty stupid on Notre Dame's part. Typing error? Too bad. I don't think she should have to pay.

    I'll relate this story.

    In the 1960s, somebody I met around 1980 was walking and found $400 that somebody had thrown out of a car. He picked up the money, figured it was gambling money, and moved on.

    He paid some people with the money, including paying for gas. It turned out the money was counterfit, and he was arrested and had to go to trial. He was found not guilty, but it was a lot of trouble.

    If you should find a lot of money, make sure it is enough to live on for the rest of your life and go to a country which wouldn't extradite you to the US.
