That's strange to have a Traverse City dateline on that story. Gipp's hometown is in the Upper Peninsula and the paper quoted in the article is in the UP.

Flesher is pretty much based in Traverse City, although he covers most of northern Michigan. Obviously the story was a rewrite, but why put a Traverse City dateline on it?
