I'm not big on jinxes either but wake me when they're through seven.
Otherwise, I don't want to hear shit about it.

Not only did the no-hitter not make it through the 6th, neither did Laffey....4-2 Yanks.

'Gola, you might want to change the thread title. It's like saying "Macbeth" in a room full of actors.

And yeah, you jinxed it. Nice work. ;)

How were Indians no-hitters jinxed before Al Gore invented the Interwebs?

In my shop, they actually cheer -- and sometimes stand and cheer and applaud, depending on how late it is -- if a no-hitter gets broken up.

That way, of course, we don't have to remake the front.

I think it's shameful. I'll take a no-hitter any day, any time, and remake the front because it's always special for whatever reason, and it galls me to watch the entire desk celebrate the avoidance of a little more work on deadline when someone has just pitched a no-no.

I love no-hitters. And I love the drama of turning a no-hitter around for the print cycle.

Yeah, a little more work. Not that much, though. Sucks when it's staring you in the face at 11:30, but we can always turn it around. And that's why you walk outta the building knowing you kicked ass on a major national story.

Looks even better in the morning, doesn't it?
