BTW, if you really haven't heard Fogelberg, you MUST have lived in a cave. he was a staple of long car rides with mom and dad.

 

My dad refused to listen to the radio on "family Sunday drives." Said it defeated the purpose of having family time.

And my mom made me listen to Rod Stewart.

Hard to believe.

 

This thread has inspired me to listen to all of his stuff on youtube... great stuff and a lot that I forgot he did... listening to a live version of "Leader of the Band" as I type this...

 

No but apparently she's all over "Some Guys Have All The Luck," "Young Turks" and "Love Touch."

 

The BS part explains it. Of course, I wish he'd stop. He's not helping that genre too much ...

And I'd take Dan Fogelberg over Rod Stewart any day of the week and three times on those weekend drives.

I do like "Broken Arrow" though.

That was my mom's favorite song. She had the hots for Rod the Bod, and I'll never understand why. :
