Not everyone is on board with naming winter storms

    Meteorologists not employed by the Weather Channel protest that TWC unilaterally naming winters storms is a P.R. stunt. I tend to agree. At the very least, TWC should have gotten the National Weather Service on board.

    Pretty much only TWC is on board with this. Everyone else thinks it's dumb as hell. Plus, it'll help drive insurance premiums up. Awesome, huh?

    I don't see a reason for it either. The "big storm of xxxx" has worked fine for years.

    Someone needs to tell The Weather Channel that Stephanie Abrams in Times Square in a parka and hat is a perfectly good waste of Stephanie Abrams.
