Not cleaning up quotes: racist?

    If it's a dialect thing, I'm cleaning it. If someone says "cleanin" I stick the -g on the end because that's the word they said. If I didn't my copy would be awful because RI accents are awful. I'll drop "ums" and "you knows" or any other speaking device that comes out when sources are trying to think while speaking.

    If someone says "I don't think we didn't have the plays to win the game" that's on them.

    Why not just cut it to "we didn't have the plays to win the game"?

    I was trying to come up with a double negative and failed miserably.
