    No news here at the moment. We are still accepting applications and we are still looking to move forward as soon as we can. I'll leave it at that no one misinterprets what I am saying.

    Late to the party: I don't know anything about the paper, but Jared is a cool guy, who I'm sure will do a great job as the SE.

    Yes, we do have some news on the situation. We have hired Travis Downey, the SE at the Starkville (Miss.) Daily News - which is another thread on here. He'll start before the end of the month.

    I want to thank everyone for their interest and patience with the process. It lasted longer than I originally thought it would, but I think that speaks to the quality number of candidates that we had to consider and then narrow down.

    or your bosses wanted to freeze the fucking position for as long as they could to put more money in the bank ... one of the two, i'm sure.

    Interesting that the SE/ASE confusion from the Starkville thread appears to have migrated here. Congratulations to Travis, whatever his previous title.
