Northeastern football will be undefeated next year

    Wouldn't be surprised to see my state school follow suit. The facility is a joke. The team is a joke. When a proven FCS winner like Tim Stowers failed, I knew URI's days were numbered. Unless Rhode Island's answer to Harold Alfond emerges to save the day (as happened at Maine), turn out the lights.
    I can understand why Darren Rizzi (URI's only 1-AA All-American since '85) left after one year. The ProJo didn't even staff Joe Trainer's hiring presser, and hasn't bylined a URI home game all year.
    But my school's been unbeaten A LOT longer.

    The ProJo didn't staff the press conference because it took place north of Warwick. Same for the URI Home Games.

    Plus, how can you expect them to get local college sports in the paper when they have to write at least six stories about the Red Sox each day? ::)
