Re: North Korea media reporting Kim Jong Il has died

If true, does this make Korean reunification more of a possibility?

    He's been dead for years!

But suburbia, I'd think less so, at least immediately. Also the regional powers, specifically China, would be thrilled to see the peninsula remain separated ... a country with the South's technical know-how and the North's industrial base would be dangerous. Somewhat along the lines of the Germanys c. November 1989.

Who's North Korea's top golfer now?

BTW, what industrial base in the North? There isn't much.

Surprise, no coverage on MSNBC or Faux News. CNN has Wolf on a scratchy phone line, Bloomberg seems to be doing the best job early on. Seeing nothing on AP. EDIT: Seeing six graphs on AP.

If only these things didn't happen on a Sunday night. Like bin Laden.

    Be a 24/7 news operation or don't.
  9. I heard he was killed by David Hasselhoff. Normally I wouldn't put much stock in such rumors but the Hoff has been off the grid while this was going on.
