    Jeez ... Tom used to be the NASCAR beat guy in Charleston (SC) before his family moved to the Winston-Salem area about 5-6 years ago ... guess the "new" paper is gonna depend on "community journalists" to handle its sports coverage from now on ...

    Such a shame...Tom is good people. Worked with him for a few years and has lots of great stories to tell.

    Something tells me I'll get to be working with him again soon.

    Never made sense to me that Mt. Airy was going to have two dailies anyway.

    Even happier I didn't take the job offered by the other one a couple of years ago.
