I'm actually listening to that song on iPod as I read this. Weird.

Was that originally recorded by Crowded House? They had a great song with that title.

I don't remember ever hearing another song called "Better Be Home Soon," but I do remember the McCarter sisters. "Timeless and True Love" is my favourite song by them.

I just remembered another. One night, my friend acquired something that was, shall we say, a remnant of the '60s. Later that evening, he connected some stereo contraption to his Christmas tree. We had the most amazing light show to Jimi Hendrix. I think of Christmas trees every time I hear one of Jimi's heavy guitar riffs.

That would be the night, as my friends recall, that I dumped all of the ice cubes from the freezer into the sink and then dropped a gallon of milk into the sink so that there would be room in the fridge for my 12-pack of beer. I recall being asked about this odd manuever, to which I replied: "I'm chilling the milk."

"She's Right on Time" - Billy Joel
(It's not, but the Christmas references are nice touch on underrated track)

Anything from the "Catch Me If You Can" soundtrack.

Rosemary Clooney singing "Love you didn't do right by me"
    "Blue Skies"
    "Count your Blessings"

Not Christmas songs but all in the movie "White Christmas", one of my favourites.

Which is kind of weird because it means that one of the songs I associate with Christmas is "Heat Wave"

    We're having a heat wave
    A tropical heat wave
    The temperature's rising
    It isn't surprising
    She certainly can
    Can Can.
