    Add me in the word-for-word category to lone star scribe's post. It's amazing how people who pay those to read between the lines for a living think we can be fooled by their pathetic attempt to pass the buck.

    In Philly, none of this bodes well for the Daily News. With photogs now taking pics for both papers and no raises, it means (1) a merger with the Inquirer is on the horizon (2) the smaller paper, the Daily News will fold.
    Seen it happen and been on a couple of ships where this scenario was featured. Also, the guy at the top in Philly is a business man, not a newspaper man. He wants to make money off of his investment.

    Charles Foster Kane has been dead for quite a long time. His snow dome is broken, his sled is burned and Songbird has been shuttered. They all want to make money off their investments these days.
