No Monday thread for Iranian president's visit?

    Iran, between the Shah and the Mullahs, has been through a terrific ying-yang in the past few decades. They're Persians, they are proud of their heritage, and they're far from unified in support of the current rulers.

    To answer your question directly, Bush won't be invited, no. But don't slag off Iranians. They may surprise you.

    That's rich, coming from you ... You've got the outrage market cornered. If a Republican wakes up in the morning, it pisses you off.
    Bring up all the anti-Bush protesting harrassment you want. I've never heard of any of them beaten or tased. If it was, you'd be screaming to high heaven.

    When they get sent to Gitmo, we don't hear of them getting beaten or tasered.

    We just don't hear of them again, period.
