    College hockey is trying to compete with basketball? Yikes.

    Actually yes and no.
    Conference championships are this week and regional round NCAAs are next week.
    But a couple of years ago, the NCAA realized that to have two championships like this go head to head is crazy. So hockey takes the week of basketball final four off and has it's own FF the week after.

    WCHA Final Five is this weekend in St. Paul.

    People from Minnesota aren't real smart. Math escapes them.

    WCHA has been doing this for years. All 10 teams play in the conference tournament. The five first round winners advance to The Final Five with No. 4 and No. 5 playing an extra game.

    The CIS hoops championship is in Halifax this weekend.
