Reminds me of the Simpsons episode where the Cable ACE award for Best New Show goes to 'Old Starsky and Hutches' -- the award accepted, of course, by 'the son of the guy who played Huggy Bear.'

Hey now, "Radio 1990" was a good program too.

    And New Wave Theater.

Funny that the Cable ACE Awards get mentioned. Nowadays, I'd like the return of that, so network shows don't have to compete with an unfair disadvantage against cable shows for the Emmys.

    From Gail Collins today:
" This is not the hour of the good loser in Democratic circles.
On MSNBC, Keith Olbermann called Scott Brown, the senator-elect from Massachusetts, “an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.”

Yipes. It was a Senate race, not the Battle of Hastings."

Honest to God, I don't know how anyone watches any of that shit. Olbermann, Hannity, Beck -- they're all absolute freakin' lunatics who will say anything to get attention.

I hate censorship, but I'm not certain the country wouldn't be far and away better off if we shut down all of the "news commentary" shows. They were OK back when people took them as entertainment, but as people have become increasingly lazy, they've allowed these dipshits to shape the way they think.

Ninety-nine percent of Beck's audience believe Obama is either a socialist or Marxist and that he's raised their taxes. The problem, of course, is that most of them couldn't identify socialism or Marxism if you gave them the definition and damn near all of them just got a tax cut.

At the same time, the dopes staring open-mouthed at Olbermann every night believe this Scott Brown dude supports violence against women. And why would Keith make such a claim? Because some dude at a rally shouted out something about sticking an object up Coakley's ass and Brown didn't stop the rally and conduct a sensitivity exercise.

By the way, is this Brown guy the closest we'll ever get to Eddie Murphy's character in "The Distinguished Gentlemen?"

Anyway, wouldn't hurt my feelings at all if we shut it all down. Fox, MSNBC, CNN, HLN and Nancy Grace's dumb ass -- get 'em all the hell off the TV and away from the general public.

Exactly. They bring nothing to the table. I really can't stand Olbermann, I didn't like him on Sportscenter....now, cringeworthy. his "apology" about those comments were, I'm paraphrasing...."I forgot to add sexist!". And then he ends with, "notice how Scott Brown hasn't tried to prove anything I said isn't true?" Yes Keith...you got him didn't ya! I'm sure he's now the "worst person in the world!!!!!!"

And then I read that nitwit Glenn Beck was upset about Scott Brown cracking a joke saying his daughters were available...... ::)

I caught that too. Creepy Glenn Beck accusing someone else of being creepy.

Beck had some woman on a few years ago, and I don't remember the exact context, but he says to her, "Wanna stop by? I've got some time and a camera."

After about five seconds of dead air, Beck says, "No? Okay."

Beck's finally found his true calling: As a comedian. Too bad for him he doesn't know he's a comedian.

I thought 98.6 was a pretty good little pop song.

    Oh, Olbermann. Never mind.

Simply research his sordid, earlier work history.

    Those who can't, agitate.
