No Idiots Allowed Hockey League

The No Idiots Alliance, in conjunction with the Republican Party, is pleased to announce the formation of the inaugural No Idiots Allowed Hockey League.

The 2005-06 NHL season, what with its stirring victory by the Detroit Red Wings in the World Cup finals and brilliant play of league MVP Conn Smythe, captivated the non-idiots that make up the NIA world. Also, our thirst for hockey was whetted by the fact that five of us have the Outdoor Life Network in the Channel 1000 range of our cable systems, and caught six seconds of the aforementioned season while trolling for porn.

"'Puck?' I thought they were screaming something else," said NIA grande dame 21. "I watched for three seconds anyway."

Anyhow, we cannot express how much time and effort has gone into studying the players that make up the WHA or whichever league we will draft from. We have been diligently preparing, which is why you can't find the "2006 Fantasy Hockey Guide," written of course by Jacques Demers, in your local bookstores.

(Correction: I'm told something called the "Carolina Hurricanes" won the "Stanley" cup and that "Conn Smythe" is a U2 cover band.)

OK, then, on with the greatest hockey fantasy league in the history of the world. Ever.

 

Ya gonna clue us in on how to sign up? Or is that a secret?
