Spnited, Pelfrey is up next. You leave him in?

I misread the scroll on top of the screen and my TV is muted. My fault. I feel shame.

Here's a dumb question. Why does Willie have people warming up in the bullpen?

Not a chance - scoreless game. Take a bow Mike.

These days, pitchers don't throw high pitch complete games all that often (unless your name happens to be Adam Wainwright, but I digress). In today's baseball, it makes sense to have the bullpen ready for the late innings no matter how dominant Pelfrey is.

That said, if he were still throwing a no-hitter, Randolph would be insane for taking him out unless he were hurt.

I think Bergmann struck out the side there?
Now the Nats have the question. He's up second. I bunt better than he does.
    You leave him in?

Two out, none on, he lets Pelfrey bat.
    I like it.
I don't want to see Aaron fucking Heilman come in and fuck up as usual

Pelfrey at 91 pitches through 7..no reason not to come for the 8th

Big difference. Bergmann has more than 100 pitches and Pelfrey only had 89.

This might be a question better served for the baseball thread, but why don't the Mets DFA Heilman?
