Carlos messed that one up for himself, it seems.

Is it bad that I SO enjoy watching the Cubs have this happen to them?

In fairness to Zambrano, that was a pretty good pitch. Also, if I were him I would find it hard to pitch with a big sign behind the batter showing my picture and the words Zambrano Zydeco in huge letters.

Yeah, this seems just like a Cubs game ... Their pitcher throws a one-hitter through 8 1/3; They don't score any runs and give up a solo homer in the ninth for a 1-0 loss.

Before that, I was really thinking Lou should have pulled Zambrano for a pinch hitter in the eighth.

And Lee's spot would be coming up third in the ninth ... now it's Cesar Fucking Izturis. And I don't think they can pinch hit for him because of a lack of infielders. I guess Barrett could pinch hit and play first, and they could put Theriot at SS and DeRosa at third.
