    I just told my son if Langerhans could get a bunt down, it would be 3-1 and Smoltz wouldn't be hurt.
    Bergmann has pitched his ass off all year. Be nice if he actually got a win.

    Not surprisingly, Greg Maddux retired the first 16 Reds batters last night, but everyone knows he'll never throw a no-hitter. I know he came close with the Dodgers last year when he went five innings of no-hit ball, but the rain delay forced him out when they resumed the game.

    Best thing about Maddux pitching is that a 7 p.m. Pacific time game is over in 2 hours and change. Great for the deadline guys!
