If that list was all white guys a lot of people would.

Again, do you know what the criteria are? Maybe "greatest QB in NFL history" just isn't on the list for EA Sports. They're just trying to move product.

I have had three-day-old soup more hip and exciting than Shaun Alexander.

Perhaps I could add some clarity:
Peyton Manning's involvement with DirecTV prohibits him from being on the cover.
Before starting a conspiratorial thread launching accusations, one might think to discover at least one fact.
(In addition, LaDainian Tomlinson, declined the 2008 Madden cover. The very superstitious Tomlinson cited the "curse" as his main motivation to decline.)

Does DirecTV ban him from the cover?

I'm glad we have Peyton's agent in the room.

Glad to see even a Madden thread features name-calling. ::)

He is DirecTV's national spokesman. They have limited, contractually, his availability for other products.
And, who did I hear this from?
Um, Peyton Manning. Asked and answered at the Super Bowl.

It's the fucking cover of a fuckng video game. It's not some great fucking social statement.

Grow the fuck up, kiddies. It's a fucking video game which most people outgrow by the time they get to college

  12. And inane name-calling at that.
