When was the last time Madden had a white player on the cover of his video game?

Probably Csonka on the cover of Madden '72.

Yeah, I think that's it ... John Madden hates ... white people.

Since you brought it up, Simon, who would you suggest, from current players? Tom Brady, Peyton Manning?

How on earth has neither been on the cover?

According to this list from Wikipedia, John was the last white guy on the cover. (He was on the cover every year until they started putting players on the cover.)

    '99: Garrison Hearst
    '00: Barry Sanders/Dorsey Levens
    '01: Eddie George
    '02: Daunte Culpepper
    '03: Marshall Faulk
    '04: Michael Vick
    '05: Ray Lewis
    '06: Donovan McNabb
    '07: Shaun Alexander
    '08: Vince Young

Do you even know what the criteria are for being on the cover? I don't, so I certainly can't say that either of them could be said to deserve it. It's a product endorsement. That's like saying, why hasn't a certain player got a shoe deal with Nike? The premise of this thread is inane.

Simon...that's the best answer, and most honest answer, you're going to get on this. It's business, plain and simple.

And I'll tell you this...Vince Young or Marshall Faulk sells better to me than pasty Peyton.

Manning is only arguably the greatest QB in NFL history, with a personality to match. And has probably had a 99 rating sing you were in kindergarten.

Anyway, I was just channeling my inner sportsbruh and Big Chee....

    Carry on.
