Could have sworn he almost flinched 57 seconds ago as he hit No. 26 out of Nationals Park.

Followed by a Howard line single, almost caught by the Nats' first baseman 30 feet into right field. (As in one nasty shift.)

I'm not seeing what some of the rest of you are. I still think the Phillies' lineup is pretty damn tough to beat.

Jim Rice snubbed again, just like Vida Blue.

Yeah, I'd hate to see how far that thing Utley hit would have gone if he wasn't bothered by something.
Nats first hit just came from its pitcher.
Whatever I did in my previous life, I'm truly very sorry.

It's no good if you win too soon. Gotta really suffer to appreciate when you turn it around.

Though, admittedly, if your team takes after the Phillies, you won't live to see them win.

Are the Red Sox really going to deal Ramirez?

    Are they fucking crazy?

Not necessarily --- current national polling indicates that the presidential vote this fall will open up distinct possibilities for the Yankees.

(Yankees last won a World Series with a Republican in the Oval Office in 1958. The Yankees have won eight WS titles under Democrats since then, losing the five Series they appeared in under a Republican president. All-time, the Yankees have won just eight of their 26 world championships with the GOP in control of the executive branch. And that is your useless baseball knowledge for the day.)

I'll believe it when I see it. And not a second before.

Are you talking about the annoying hockey organ they have at Miller Park?
