If Ernie Banks truly wanted to play two, he should have worn 28 ...

The Phillies have mediocre starting pitching, the Mets probably have lost Maine for a while and Pedro is held together by duct tape.

As of now, the Marlins' rotation is Ricky Nolasco-Scott Olsen-Josh Johnson-Chris Volstad-Anibal Sanchez

I haven't truly liked their chances, until last night.

But it was appropriate to the story. Perhaps the "newbie" can teach some of the more veteran posters a thing or two.

  10. As a Phillies fan, I reluctantly agree. If the Marlins can continue to incorporate some small ball into their offense, the rest of the NL East is playing for that one-game playoff for the Wild Card at Wrigley Field :)

I don't care what the Marlins' rotation is, they have enough hitting to dismiss the Mets and Phillies and win the terribly weak NL East (before losing to the Brewers in the first round of the playoffs).

It is definitely possible. The Phillies are not as imposing offensively with Chase Utley struggling. Yesterday he denied that a hip injury is slowing him down, but something is certainly wrong. He hasn't been anywhere close to his usual level for over a month now.
