The Yankees look forward to snatching him up in a few years.

And who won a Gold Glove and a Sliver Slugger?

C'mon Heiny, that is a poor response and you know it.

The two were very close, I just don't get the outrage that there was some sort of media conspiracy to vote for Votto. 31 people thought Votto deserved it, what is the problem with that?

It's no conspiracy. It's called GroupThink. I read today where one of those voters admitted that he voted for Votto because he and the others came to "a consensus." And I read two weeks ago where that same person seemed to favor Pujols.

Even though there stats were very close, Votto was the obvious choice because his club won the division. Thirty-one voters understood that and voted for him. NOT rocket science.

"In the end, I'm not sure there's a right answer. That's why 31 other people vote and we try to come up with a consensus, not just on an MVP but also on what the MVP means."

even if you want to say he was the absolute best player this past season, which is highly debatable, how was he the best player in 2008-09 when he had 25 hrs and 85 rbi in both seasons.

So you interpret that as this anonymous writer got together with the other 31 voters and they all but one guy decided to vote for Votto? Do you honestly believe what you are posting?
