And once again, we have parents whining that its not fair that the lot gets punished because of the actions of a few. Umm, that's life. Nobody fought to keep Enron grunts employed because their management were fuck offs.

Shot through the heart and the coach is to blame.
He gives football a bad name, a bad name

Hazing is a problem all over. Fortunately, my son's football team doesn't do any of this shit. It seems like it's most problematic in suburban areas and teams that go away for camp. Some other recent hazing issues that have popped up:

But, the lessons these kids learn playing football surely outweigh the cost to the schools, the risk of long term injury, and the humiliation involved in hazing.

Football coaches are incredible leaders, who impart life lessons these kids will take with them for the rest of their lives.

I understand your point and it sounds like the district did not have much choice, but there is nothing wrong with parents standing up for their children, especially if their children did nothing wrong. That is what a parent is supposed to do. That is what I'd be doing in a case like this one.

Bob, I've got to ask: How do you know your son's team does not do this kind of thing? Are you privy to all areas of the players' experience?

As the mom said on the video, there are also the cheerleaders. Who will think of the cheerleaders?

There isn't a kid on that team that didn't know this was happening.

Which means they ALL did something wrong.

First they came for the hazers, and I did not speak out because I was not a hazer.

    ...

Then they came for me -- and there was no one left to speak for me.

I wondered that too. Bob's anecdotal stories about his kid's team usually bring more
    questions than answers.
