Nifong Apologizes, but where is Crystal Gail Mangum's apology

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by heyabbott, Jul 26, 2007.

  1. It's not a "valid counter." It's an example of the fact that what Nifong did we encourage prosecutors to do every day -- call it "starman justice" if you like -- but that, this time, he did it to people capable of fighting back and winning. That is unquestionably a good thing, but what happened to Giles -- and to the 30-odd people who walked off Death Row -- is infinitely worse, and infinitely less well-known. There is a reason for that with which many people are not very comfortable.
And A_L, Dan Abrams, the head of MSNBC and a Duke grad, was all over the prosecution from jump. That didn;t have anything to do with the national frenzy, but the head of a news network is a nice ally to have.

When Air-Conditioned America is exterminated, perhaps.

  7. OK, believe what you want, reality be damned.
You're an embattled white person at the mercy of the highly visible black power structure of the United States of America.

Is there a single negative thing a black person should be held responsible for in your mind?
