US/Canadian tourism portal is looking for a Western expat writer/editor to re-write content, edit copy and add quotes. This job is ONLY for an editor in a low-cost of living country who can telecommute and use our Skype connection. We will not consider writers and editors who are stateside. Rather than hiring intern writers, we prefer expats where our USD converts well.

Description: Expat writer/content editor – Canadian Tourism portal Canadian tourism and travel bureau is looking for a take charge North American expat staff writer.

We are looking for a lively and spirited EXPAT (ie: writer/editor living out of North America) writer to write Canadian/US tourism content. Full time opportunities will also be considered. (Please indicate in cover letter)

This position requires you to work western Canadian hours Monday through Friday. (Some weekend work will be allowed should you choose) This job consists of online content management, article rewriting, blogging, writing original content and phoning sources for quotes. You MUST have reliable internet access so that you can use our Skype accounts.

We are ONLY looking for expat North American candidates who live in a low cost of living country. We pay in USD and via Paypal. It is imperative that your internet access is consistently reliable.

Ideal expat candidate has past journalism as well as phone interviewing experience. Candidate also must be very proficient at writing quickly, accurately and able to meet deadlines. SEO and keywording skills are a plus, but not necessary. PDF editing a plus as well. Video editing and production skills are a plus and will warrant better pay.

Expertise in Word Press is huge.
