If you watched last night, you would have seen how. Fucking oilers.

A big part of their allure is the fun-to-watch kids. Hope they don't loose too much of that. They are the closest thing to an 80's style team that we've had for a while. Wish more teams would follow suit. They were bound to get knocked on their ass though, too much too soon for the young kids. Hopefully it doesn't take all the wind out of their sails for tomorrow's game. Basically they were just taught a lesson by the old regime who is not ready to let go their grip on the league.

I agree that the Blackhawks' appeal is in their energy and style of play...I certainly hope they keep that spark as they mature and become more of a veteran team.

One bright spot for Chicago from Tuesday's game- they refused to get run over and over again by the more physical Wings. It would have been nice to see the Hawks shove back without taking dumb penalties, but at least they were trying to stick up for themselves.

Wow. That was a hell of an article.

Picked this up from a Red Wings blog:

Coach Mike Babcock had a good line after the morning skate. He said that with the players' families being allowed to skate at Wrigley Field tomorrow that they had considered having the Red Wings' kids play a game against the Blackhawks' kids. But Chicago coach Joel Quenneville told him that Patrick Kane and Jonathan Toews are the Blackhawks' kids, so the Wings called off the kids game.

They're showing Wrigley Field practice right now on NHL Network. It's neat that they made the outside of the boards so that it looks like a brick wall.
