Let me ask you this, where would these welfare teams in some these markets be without the Canadian TV deal and the revenue that is generated in Canada. Where would their welfare cheque come from then.

Mark, I didn't know their was an NFL team in England, last time I checked the NHL had teams in Canada, your comparison is silly, try again

there is one reason and one reason alone they are going back to back to start this series and it isn't the CBC.

Just to point out your inaccuracy.
Detroit last played on Wednesday. Pittsburgh on Tuesday.

The Final starts on Saturday, which is three days and four days, respectively, since they last played. That's signficantly less than one week between games.

Are you accounting for the Canadian calendar?

Is the CBC against back-to-back games? Does it even care because it could have two Hockey Night in Canada games? Did the NHL meet the CBC's wishes? Those are my questions.

The CBC is against games in the USA. Too bad.

They can't have a game on a weeknight. It will interfere with Conan.

Will everyone please stop asking Mark to try again? We're all better off if he doesn't.

CBC doesn't want back to back games.

The only entity that wants back to backers is NBC.

There's a reason there haven't been back to back games in the Final for 55 years.

Apparently the company who pays nothing for rights doesn't want weeknight games because it will interfere with Conan.

Is it just me, or are we going around in multiple fucking circles here?

Fiona Reid was way outta Al Waxman's league - the precursor to the Leah Reminis, Courtney Thorne-Smiths and Jami Gertzs of today - but, as attractive as she was, she was no Diane Nyland. :D

    You are completely right.

I will do my best to adhere to this but I can't guarantee it.
