    Not sure where the players hang out in general but pretty good idea where the writers will congregate around the NHL circuit. Decor may be less upscale but the stories would almost certainly be more interesting. Not necessarily true but more interesting.

    Agreed on the first point. Any reporter should be able to come up with these, with just some simple digging.

    I believe Chelios' bar in Chicago is long gone.
