I think the San Diego baseball team was named after Steve Garvey.

Well put. And a lot of the time, it's used by folks to justify racist and/or sexist remarks.

The Hawks logo may be one of the best in all sports and anything that can help the Hawks regain their former glory is fine by me.

Gagner and Toews may be the guys to do it.

Hawks were wearing the strange, all-black-and-white version of the Indian Head when they beat the Leafs in the first-ever NHL game at Maple Leaf Gardens...here's the program(me) cover...note the flags for the "Original Ten"... :)

And who'd have thought that Bob freakin' Probert would score the last goal in MLG history...but he did...

  7. Great job, wi.
Now can you explain to me what in the hell "Commit To The Indian" means?

Don't sleep around with other guys when the Indian's been nothing but faithful to you?

The Cleveland Indians were once named the Cleveland Naps for Nap Lajoie...

The Indian hasn't been faithful to us since the departure of Denis Savard.

True enough. Oh, for the days of the Savard spin-o-rama that left Beaupre looking the wrong way. Cicarelli sucks. And Secord crushing Federko into the boards while thousands of azure-clad Checkerdomers jeered in dismay. Wilson from the point past a screened Liut. Espo with a kick-save.

So why do they spell his name wrong if he's Black Hawk?
