I'm sorry. I'm relentless. Had I known he was with you I might have given it a rest for a little while.

Not a big surprise, but CBC and the NHL had a major fuckup during the NHL awards last night.

During each presentation, they had junior hockey players wearing jerseys of the winner. For the Norris trophy, the winner was Nicklas Lidstrom.

But of course, the kids' jersey says Lindstrom on the back.

Leave it to the NHL to fuck up the name of a SIX-time award winner. ::) ::)

    Yeah, that's a travesty.

I bet basketball, football and baseball wished they only had spelling problems.

Now that makes more sense. Still ... will Pittsburgh make any attempt to sign Marian Hossa? If both sides are reasonable, it's something the Penguins should seriously consider, no matter what the naysayers think.

Edit: Hossa stuff below. Other rumor is that there might be a deal in the works with Columbus where the Jackets get the negotiating rights to Malone and Orpik.

And here's the story that was supposedly coming:

    Pens make Hossa their priority

    Jacques plante with seven?

Mind you though, he won his when it was a statistical trophy for fewest goals allowed during the regular season. it wasn't until 1982 when I think the GMs started to vote for top goalie, and since that time it is Hasek with six.

  12. Ron Burkle is going to have one expensive summer as one team official expects offers to be expensive and lengthy.

    1. 5-years $42 million for Evgeni Malkin
    2. 6-years $42 million for Marian Hossa
    3. 5-years $25 million for Marc-Andre Fleury
    4. 3-years $14 million for Jordan Staal
