If Ovechkin's not the winner, I'm giving up hockey.

Malkin shoots down rumors of his wanting an Ovechkin-like deal. Says he's looking for five or six years and the salary doesn't need to be higher than the $8.7M per that BBJ is signed for.

If they can keep Sid AND Malkin, watch out Eastern Conference. It may be dynasty time.

Lots of hometown discounts with the young kids.

Although I'm sure it'd be tough to live on $8.7mill a year.

    Ok, this is too much.

Just got a phone call from HC who flew into NYC this morning.

Sitting beside her on the plane was Martin Brodeur who was coming back from the NHL awards. I have the pic she sent to prove it.

Congratulated him on his Vezina and then he spent most of the flight in conversation (in French) with his friend.

    Not Liza Minelli but still................

Great story, but she should have asked him if he felt guilty for stealing this award from Nabokov. :)

By all accounts he seems to be a pretty good guy.

As long as you're down with the whole banging-your-sister-in-law thing.

OK, I can't be bothered to look it up.

    Two more to tie Hasek

Next question: who has won the most?
