Funny that he's their second option on field goals. You'd think a WR or backup QB would have some talent to do that.

What the hell is going on in Cleveland?

And why do the Jets suck again?

Most coaches will say having a backup QB as the holder takes him away from practice with the QBs, and isn't able to spend exclusive time with the PK like a punter does.

Not that I completely agree with this ... I'm sure there is a way to schedule it to work. McCarthy stated this as his reasoning for using Mastay and Bryan as holders in preseason this year. That's why when Flynn came in as the holder on a FG a few weeks ago, I knew it was going to be a fake.

Not an editorial comment on what you're saying, I have no doubt of that, but I think a lot of coaches are paralyzed by analysis.

Jesus, that was a flag on Sharper for that hit on Smith?

EDIT - flag on Smith instead.

Hillis and McCoy is happening in Cleveland. Hillis is pounding the ball — and just caught a pass down the sideline for 30 yards — while McCoy is playing mistake-free (so far). Just good ball control offense.

For how pass happy the NFL is now, has anyone noticed that teams don't score any more points now than when they did in the 1970s and 1980s?

All this talent in Minny, and it looks like this group will never play in the Super Bowl unless a decent QB is found in the off season.

Minny went from a bad young QB to a washed up old diva.

Well at least he didn't embarrass the organization. :)

They say too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

But dammit, this schadenfreude continues to go down smooth!

Jets buring all their timeouts trying to play defense.
