Remember -- Gruden has 9 years and $90 million on his contract after this year.

    He's pretty safe.

My favorite thing that happened last night was the 49ers putting the ball on the wrong yard line for the opening kickoff and having to move it when the kicker realized it halfway to booting the ball.

The contract isn't guaranteed after the first few years and is backloaded from the reports I've read. I think it like three years and a team option for the rest.

On one hand, Gruden getting a first for Cooper was incredible, although I'm not sure if that can be attributed to his skill or more luck that he had the player an awful front office wanted. Even if the talent level on the Raiders is poor, and I'm not sure it is, they seem to have less fight than the Bills and the Browns now, who have way worse talent and way more chaotic coaching situations, respectively.

I looked for the details. The backloaded part I found (it's for state taxes after the move), but I can't find the option part. I swear I read it on PFT a few months after Gruden was hired.

Jon Gruden: “I’m not making $100 million”

    Just Floria speculation

I didn't see anything on it either. The backloading I could see, but I'd be pretty surprised if there's an option involved.

Flacco doesn't see a wide open Jackson on 3rd and goal.
    Wide open.

On the opening kickoff, Sam Martin falls down
Then the Vikings score when the Lions force a fumble and Minnesota recovers in the end zone
Glad I’m watching this game in a bar

    Peterman in top form. 7 - 13 57 yds, 2 Ints--one a pick six.

Plus a completed pass for a fumble and Bears defensive TD return as well.
