He's compared to Vince Young because they were both immensely physically gifted and seem to rely solely on it. They don't get the finer points of the position and they aren't big studiers.

Was all the hype about him last year racially motivated, too?

Warren Moon is a Hall of Fame moron. Is this the only opinion he has anymore?

I wonder what his wife thinks. I hope she doesn't disagree with him.

And as to Newton, the guy obviously struggles to deal with anything negative in life. Few traits are more destructive to a professional athletes's career, regardless of race. That was exactly the problem with Young, BTW.

if RGIII was black he would have been a 3rd round draft choice

Helloooo, earth to Warren, Cam Newton showed immense promise his rookie year before immaturity led to a serious sophomore slump. He was one of the top picks in the entire draft. He's a physicial freak of nature, led his team to a long awaited national championship in his final college game....

We're supposed to believe that sounds like Jay Cutler more than Vince Young?? Good grief.

Is Peanut Tillman a possible Hall of Famer?

To me, he and Ronde Barber have been the perfect Cover 2 corners. Many people think Barber eventually will make the Hall of Fame, but why not Tillman?

Barber is 37 and has 978 tackles, 46 picks, 14 forced fumbles and 12 defensive TDs.

Tillman is 31 and has 655 tackles, 32 picks, 30 forced fumbles and 8 defensive TDs.

I think Tillman is well on his way, despite no one outside Chicago noticing him until the last couple years.

Totally agree. Rule of thumb should be you play a Thursday night game coming off your bye week and then it's back to Sundays. And always play Sunday AFTER a Monday night game.

That one is obviously a tougher call since there is no way the NFL can know which baseball teams will be playing, or on what days, when the schedule comes out.

They should not have a Sunday night game opposite Game 4 of the World Series, however. For many years, that week was open on Sunday night.

Breakdown of guys who could be dealt by the Oct. 30 trade deadline.

    http://www.foxnews.com/sports/2012/10/23/nfl-trade-deadline-could-be-quiet-as-usual/

Jason Cole reported last week that Dwayne Bowe wants out of Kansas City very badly.

People. There is no football going on this week. No need for the thread.

    Carry on, fanboys.

    ;)
