    No payday for a 15-of-16 parlay. The hedge would have been the Packers straight up, problem was the pregame line was around -600 so that requires deep pockets. Could have laid $600,000 and then you're going to profit $99,975 ($100k minus that $25 original bet) if the Packers win and $136,959 if the Lions win.

    If I had to guess, I bet the poor sap emptied his bank account and his couch cushions for about $6000, profiting $975 -- enough for a nice dinner and a lot of good booze to try to erase the horror of a life-changing payday riding on the Lions vs. Rodgers in Lambeau. SMH.

    Speaking of gambling and MNF, Pat McAfee sweating out the Lions' final drive as they tried to score and cover the 11-point spread was rather amusing. Al Michaels would have been proud of that bit of commentary.
