The running game as a central weapon is dead in the NFL, or at least cryogenically frozen.
The top 3 passing teams in the league: a combined 29-5.
The top 3 rushing teams in the league: a combined 16-20.
My question: Do they have computers to gather this information in Pittsburgh (team, fans, media) or are they still getting all their correspondence by Pony Express? When does everyone in that city wake up to realize the problem is not the lack of the running game, it's the overemphasis on trying to establish it?

It's a Red Zone league. Anything between the 20s is strictly hands-off for the D, so offenses are racking up big yardage there. But get inside the 20 and they more or less let them play.
