There was a spate of about four or five years in the late '80s and early 2000s when the Thanksgiving games, hosted by dogshit Lions and Cowboys teams, were pure crap. This is a rare treat.

Having Detroit and Dallas both in the playoff mix on Thanksgiving hasn't happened too often.

It's also cool that it's the first meeting between the Seachickens and the Niners and the Cowboys and Eagles.

That was a big win for Sanchez and the Eagles, regardless of foe. Sanchez could've moped after the debacle in Green Bay and spiraled into a slump.

    30-43 307 is a nice bounce-back.

It was a nice warmup for what should be three really tough games in a row.

Don't forget his requisite two interceptions.

If he keeps it to two a game, I think the Eagles can live with it.

They don't have much of a choice.

    RG3 benched. McCoy to start.

    Redskins still fucked.

Greg Cosell did a good job explaining what the problems are with RG3:

The first picture is particularly telling... five players wide open and RG3 still throws it away.

More bizarro news out of Jetsland. Apparently, Izdik, or at least a PR guy, wouldn't let Rex talk about visiting his ill father, Buddy.

    http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/rex-ryan-not-allowed-to-talk-about-visiting-sick-dad-buddy-on-bye-141024935.html;_ylt=A0LEVy8OGXZUkc8AXKLBGOd_

If this is true, and if you're Rex, figuring that you're out anyways in a few weeks, how don't you tell the PR guy to go fuck himself?

I've never met a PR guy who can prevent a coach from talking about anything. Let's not kid ourselves, that came from the GM.
