I remember parts of the Care Bear thread, and was looking back through it (sans search button) and couldn't find it.

 

Really looking forward to seeing the Bills play tomorrow. How is this their first game of the year broadcast nationally?

 

About 20 years of mediocrity interspersed with more than the occasional rotten season, that's how.

 

Which makes me wonder how they didn't land a MNF slot.

Seriously: Did anybody think the Bills would be good? Does anybody really think the Bills are good? Or are they buoyed by a schedule that, to this point, is on track to be the weakest played by any NFL team since the 2007 Seahawks?

 

Didn't there used to be an NFL mandate that every team would get at least one primetime slot? Was that before they found out how much money they could make on Thursdays?

 

Every team plays a Thursday game for competitive balance. So that qualifies as the primetime game for most of them.
