I turned it off shortly after the half when they pulled Quinn. I've lost all patience with the team though. I'm not going to watch any more games or give two shits. It's basketball season.

On the AT&T program guide on my TV, the blurb about today's early game reads "Placekicker Jason Hanson and the woeful Lions face the Titans ..."

    That's low.

Great line from Shannon Sharpe on the pregame show:

JB: Can the Lions go 0-16?
Sharpe: They have the talent to do it.

    Ha!

Simms and Nantz just noted that the Lions scrimmaged and hit each other before the game. It'll be the only hitting they do all day.

Two plays and a fumble that was recovered by the defense.

Ladies and Gentlemen, 2008 Lions football.

I think the Lions have the best modern uniforms and colors, and the worst throwback unis. Give me the helmet with the lion any time.

Anyone notice just how much Cortland Finnegan disrupts things?

And my brother has just felt the need to remind me of a Thanksgiving game 34 years ago. Dallas-Washington. Clint Fucking Longley.

My brother will be getting the turkey neck today.

Fantastic start to a game between the best and the worst.

In preparation for tonight and the next few days, getting some sleep is imperative.

Watching the Lions should do the trick.
(My friend who's a devout Lions fan will kill me for saying that ...)

Is there an asterisk in the NFL record book saying a kicker has played his whole career indoors? Morten and Hansen have great numbers with long field goals, but would they have the same numbers if not for playing in domes?
