Sure, I could see Rodgers going to back to his home state and playing for the L.A. Vikings.

Serious question. I thought I saw something recently where the guy out in L.A. wanted to start building the stadium. Maybe it was just more talk? Is he anywhere close to breaking ground?

No one disrespects Lynn Dickey and gets away with it!

Now this image of Lynn Dickey will haunt your dreams (and maybe watch you poop) ...

    The original Cal-to-Green Bay connection.

I once was at a game where Mark Vlasic took a few snaps. He was one of the few Chiefs backups in my formative years who didn't come from San Francisco. I think.

    Anyhoo.. Viva Vlasic!

Good idea, but give me tradition.

This isn't something like the Winter Classic, where you have teams across the league wanting to host or play in the game, knowing they're going to see a nice chunk of change in ticket sales, Winter Classic merchandise right before Christmas and the publicity that comes with the marquee event on New Year's Day (college football vacated its place atop the New Year's hierarchy with the staggered BCS bowls).

This is a three-game event. Six teams play each year, and it's not like marquee teams and players (Steelers, Colts, Patriots, Jets, Packers, etc.) don't get their chance to play on Thanksgiving. Adding the night game only adds to teams' request to play the holiday. No need to take away the Lions' game. Or the Cowboys' game.
