In Lions history, only two coaches were hired as head coaches after getting fired since Buddy Parker was let go
George Wilson became the coach of the expansion Dolphins and Dick Jauron, who was the interim coach after Steve Mariucci was fired

Wilson did win an NFL title. So that's not so weird.

    That is a great stat.

I shared an elevator ride just with Wayne Fontes at a stadium about 15 years ago. I wish I'd written about it. He looked so sad to be out of the game.

When Fontes was fired he burst into the news conference announcing it to take questions

Dick Jauron might have the record for most interim posts. Will look into that one for fun.

    Alex...
Why did you have to go off and do that?

Wow... that’s the defense of a good team.

Just tuned in to see the pick and the Cowboys partially piss it away. Why the option pass there?

Or as Jake says, that's why they're the Cowboys.

Play probably works if Washington defender does not do that leap. I think Dalton was open.

I don't think the Cowboys want to win. They'd rather lose and get a much higher draft pick. They could cost themselves 15 spots in the draft by winning the division.
