We hear plenty about Antonio Brown's work ethic. The same was true of Jerry Rice during his career.

And Collinsworth was actually the opposite of the heady white guy stereotype as a player.

Eric Ebron has like 12 tds for the Colts. He had a career of nothingness in Detroit.

    Maybe it was the quarterback.

In fact, it was very often said Rice was not the best natural athlete among WRs (certainly he wasn't the fastest) but his work ethic and preparation made him the greatest WR ever. His off-season work was legendary.

Did you ever watch Ebron when he was with the Lions? The few times I saw him, he had trouble with drops and bad routes. The quarterback certainly makes a difference, but I don't think it's fair to put his past struggles entirely on Stafford.

Rice didn't have a great 40-yard dash time. It's one reason he wasn't even the first receiver taken in 1985.

Antonio Brown's path is more like Thielen's. Brown wasn't a high draft pick. The Steelers took him in the sixth round and he played a very limited role as a rookie before going over 1,000 yards receiving for the first time in his second season. As we do with Thielen, we hear quite a bit about Brown's intelligence and his work ethic.

But yeah, it's all about Thielen being white.

Blake Bortles benched by Jaguars. I'm not sure why they think Cody Kessler is a good option, but I get being done with Bortles.

Does anyone else think Brees is on the juice? He's looking quite vascular these days. (Sorry, no photo.)

    Ebron was awful in Detroit
