    If there was ever a proven point-shaving scandal, involving players or officials, the fallout would be widespread. Not saying it would kill the league, but that's a commissioner's worst nightmare.

    Harbaugh with a nice moment of having his cake and eating it too -- he calls Alex Smith "our starting quarterback," insists Kaepernick isn't a backup, and says he'll announce a decision Wednesday on who starts next week.
