Then there's this AAFC weirdness ...

The Dodgers were not related to the earlier Brooklyn Dodgers NFL team. The Yankees were not related to the later NFL New York Bulldogs/Yanks/Dallas Texans/second Baltimore Colts.

I watched on TV as Boomer Esiason threw for 527.

    It can be broken.

    I know this.

Shit, they even made Jay Cutler look like a competent quarterback tonight.

Ya, not Cuter's best night, but far from his worst. The last time the Bears played on Thursday night, the defense also played well on the road, but Cutler threw five picks. Tonight was a vast improvement. Really glad to see Forte and the running game get going. The schedule the next six weeks is brutal, though, so I'd be shocked if they reach 10 wins.

The Jimmy Clausen-Kerry Collins epic earlier this year has to be on the list.

While I'm no strategic expert, doesn't it seem odd that the Dolphins, who were playing their third-string quarterback, would give the ball to their running backs a grand total of seven times? I only watched the first half, and it seemed as if every first down call was a pass -- an incomplete pass.

Pretty much any Panthers game these days has potential to be in this discussion, but not this one. You know, since Carolina doesn't play Tennessee this season :)

I'd be shocked if they win eight.

Home games against Philly, New England and the Jets

Road losses at Minnesota and Green Bay.

If they get to 10, they'll have earned it.
