Not to mention that the Bears were damn good last year. They continue to suffer from the perceptions that (A) Lovie Smith is an idiot and (B) Jay Cutler is soft.

They were luckier than good last year, up until and including Seattle's win over New Orleans in the playoffs.

They are playing better this year, over the last three weeks, than at any time last year.

I still worry about San Diego catching them off guard.

The next cold-weather playoff game the Saints win will be the first.

Actually, we're getting close to the time of year when the Chargers usually get hot.

It might still be a little early for that, though.

Steve Young destroyed Broncos management on an ESPN interview yesterday, saying it is "embarassing" how Tebow is being used.

My point being that getting to host a terrible, 8-9 Seattle team for the right to host a Conference Championship game is lucky.

Could Palko turn Falco and win one for Hackman?

Guess I should have gotten to this thread earlier. I expect an "old-fashioned" Cutler-Rivers shootout.

Young is usually pretty smart, but he's dead wrong on this. We've gone over why already. But shit, just win baby.

Mike Martz has also realized that that Forte guy is pretty good. The offensive line also seems to be doing a better job of protecting Jay Cutler.

Martz had to re-realize it after "realizing" it last year, during the bye week and with Jay Cutler's Martz-induced-Meadowlands concussion still settling like a snow globe after an earthquake.

Still my favorite mindless narrative of 2011: Martz having (an identical to 2010) come-to-Jesus moment with his offensive priorities.
