Well that's the second part of the equation - why in the fuck would John Harbaugh or Cam Cameron or whoever the fuck the offensive coordinator is there these days ever call for them to try and throw the ball on third-and-long in their own end with a lead.

If the Ravens would have just ran up the middle and punted on second and third in long in every one of these games, they'd have won at least a few of them, including the AFC Divisional game

    I don't know. Maryland-Miam, LSU-Oregon, Boise-Georgia ... all those players looked like they cared.

This is 90 percent correct, but not entirely true. He did throw that game-winner to Houshmanzadeh last year the first time the two teams met. He played pretty well that day, although he did try to choke away the game before winning it on the drive before by throwing two terrible fade patterns from the 5-yard line. His next good game against Roethlisberger, however, will be his first. I believe he's 0-7 against him, but has beaten Batch and Dennis Dixon.

King must have talked with Kid Rock before he made his Lions prediction.

Cassel said he's playing, and Haley confirmed it . . .

Predicting the Chargers to win the Super Bowl is like predicting the next stripper you date will marry you.

Sure, she looks great, and there is always that chance, but you have to forget a lot of past history to make that bold call.

  7. That argument does go both ways though. Steelers fans, for seemingly decades, have been roasting the offensive coordinator at the time for calling plays where the back runs up the gut in those situations that you described, run clock, punt and put the ball in the hands of your defense. Now, if we are quibbling over the actual pass play call, maybe moving the pocket would buy flacco a bit more time instead of sitting him in the pocket, but again, hindsite is 20/20. Personally, I like milking the clock an dputting the game in your defenses hands. But they did exactly th eopposite against the Jets last year and it worked, so what so I know.
