Big news already - Peyton Manning likely out for Week 1, maybe beyond.

Rex Grossman named the Week 1 starter for Washington.

Never dreamed that guy would be an NFL starter again.

    He isn't. It's the Redskins.

Bears will likely be starting 0-1. They have a tough schedule to start the season.

Every game in the NFL is loseable.
    Every one of them.
    Pro sports = parity central

(With pro baseball being the least parity-ridden, but even there ...)

The Steelers are the greatest. Troy is the greatest. Big Ben is redeemed. The Steelers fans are the best in the world. Pittsburgh is great. Love the strip. Love Primantis. James Harrison is the bad dude. The NFL hates us. The NFL is picking on us. Hines is a Hall of Famer.

OK, now that we've got that out of the way we've eliminated the need for 75 percent of the posters to come here, we can start talking about the NFL.

I think Collins will do a respectable job with the Colts. If he has to start for a month, I'll bet he can be within a game of .500 when Peyton comes back.

It's been amazing how little we've heard about Carson Palmer during the preseason. I don't think I had even heard his name until his little brother was cut about a week ago.

If Al Davis is the worst owner in the NFL, Mike Brown isn't too far behind.

There's zero upside in Bengal season tickets so long as Brown is wasting oxygen.

    I hate Primantis.

This may well be true. He's certainly a nearly incalculable improvement over Painter. The entire "no Peyton" concept makes me a little light in the head, none the less....

You missed one, Zag...one that is very fitting for Week 1.

Steelers-Ravens is the best, most brutal rivarly ever!
